Registered Nurse-Per Diem

GENERAL FUNCTION: Provide professional nursing care for oncology clinic patients Per Diem.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Provide direct general nursing care to Salish Oncology patients including telephone and clinic triage.*
•Document patient history and prepare patient for physician examination.**
•Observe, record, and report patient condition and reaction to medications and treatments.**
•Initiate diagnostic tests, administer medications and treatments, and perform special tests such as ECG in accordance with nursing standard.**
•Prepare clinic equipment and assist Physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.**
•Oversee the delivery of patient care services provided by Medical Assistant.**
•Assist in coordinating patient flow throughout the clinic.**
•Handle in-person, written, and phone requests for information and advice.**
•Provide on-site nursing care education to oncology patients and their families, perform other health education activities as assigned.**
•Participate in professional development and community awareness activities.**

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in oncology preferred. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in WA State and certified in oncology, or eligible to be certified within six (6) months of hire, or eligible for certification once clinical hours are complete. BLS certification required. Experience and/or ability to work with electronic health records/practice management systems required.

Registered Nurse-Full Time

•Cross train and act as back-up to Nursing Supervisor during absences.*

Medical Receptionist

GENERAL FUNCTION: Provide professional administrative support, scheduling, and coordination for Salish Cancer Center patients and community members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Insurance verification and general communication to the patient population regarding eligibility, insurance benefits, and basic coverage questions
• Document patient interactions and coordinate clinical communications as necessary
• Accurately schedule patient appointments within OncoEMR, working with other team members to coordinate appropriate dates and times for care including office visits, lab draws, and chemotherapy
• Provide care coordination and details for Oncology, acupuncture, and naturopathy visits
• Maintain effective organizational systems for daily cash, copay collection, and cash box audits
• Answer multi-line telephone calls and effectively route calls to appropriate departments and individuals involved in patient care
• Order and document office supplies
• Supplement sales, and back up ordering, inventory, and payment reconciliation
• Handle timely delivery of medical records requests, including collection of payment when necessary
• Enter complete and accurate patient demographics in practice management system and OncoEMR
• Schedule in-service appointments for outside entities including pharmaceutical representatives
• Train to provide back up for new patient referrals, authorizations, and financial counseling
• Effectively maintain Standard Operating Procedures for reception duties, working with the Front Office Supervisor to ensure accuracy, clarity, and a cohesive template for such policies
• Adhere to Salish Cancer Center dress code and professionalism standards to allow for positive representation and presentation to the community and patients we serve
• Document and track patient concerns and complaints in OncoEMR or as is instructed to ensure follow up and timely attention to patient requests
• Maintain provider schedule blocking and templating within OncoEMR
• Assist clinical staff with administrative duties as required
• Provide excellent and professional customer service in face-to-face and virtual interactions with all community members, employees, and patients, representing Salish Cancer Center and the mission of the entity to all.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE): High School Diploma or GED required. Two (2) years of medical reception experience in oncology preferred. Experience with multi-line phone systems required. Knowledge of HIPAA, experience with medical insurance verification, benefits explanation, and cash handling required. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required. Experience with OncoEMR preferred.

Marketing Coordinator-0.6 FTE

GENERAL FUNCTION: Create, plan, and implement a strategic marketing plan for Salish Cancer Center, inclusive of outreach to audiences including patients, caregivers, referring providers, Community Cancer Center programs, and the Puget Sound community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Create, plan, develop, execute, and measure outcomes of a strategic marketing and outreach plan for Salish Cancer Center
•Routinely present marketing campaign outcomes to leadership at Salish Cancer Center, including examples of success and areas of improvement
•Represent Salish Cancer Center in community outreach events such as patient-centered fundraising programs, Regional Provider Meetings, Tumor Boards, and open houses at local provider offices
•Develop marketing materials for print and electronic distribution to patients, community members, local government, local hospitals, and referring providers
•Increase brand awareness for Salish Cancer Center
•Oversee routine social media outreach (on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube), to increase Salish Cancer Center’s audience and community reputation
•Drive patient volume and patient loyalty through community outreach and marketing plans
•Operate within the set budget
•Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, bios, and proposals
•Create and publish quarterly patient newsletters
•Create and publish monthly provider newsletters
•Increase search engine optimization and overall online presence and reputation for Salish Cancer Center
•Develop a process for collecting and posting patient reviews on Google Business, Yelp, and the Salish Cancer Center Facebook page
•Increase accuracy and visibility for all online directories and pages Salish Cancer Center has presence within
•Maintain an internal calendar with important release dates and deadlines for content, ensuring deadlines are met by contributors for outreach posts and publications
•Maintain a patient/community focused calendar with dates of office closures and patient events
•Coordinate patient/community focused events at Salish Cancer Center for local businesses, providers, wellness entities, and other organizations that can benefit overall wellness for Salish patients and community members
•Maintain the Salish Cancer Center website, including content, formatting, updated postings, blogs, and interactive features for patients and referring providers
•Manage video and photo content
•Assist with administrative duties as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE): Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a closely related field required. Two (2) years’ experience in marketing required. Experience in Healthcare marketing preferred. Writing samples requested for applications.
